KS1 Supply Teacher Needed – Maidstone

We are seeking a KS1 supply teacher who can step in with confidence, bring lessons to life, and make every day a learning adventure. Whether you're guiding phonics in Year 1 or exploring mini-beasts in Year 2, you'll be part of a warm, supportive team that values your energy and expertise.

Contract: Temporary

Salary: £130 - £150 per day (Dependent on Experience)

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons across KS1, following the national curriculum
• Adapt quickly to different classroom environments and routines
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning atmosphere
• Support children’s emotional and academic development
• Collaborate with staff to ensure continuity and consistency
• Provide feedback and complete basic marking when required

Qualifications & Experience

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching KS1 (Year 1 or Year 2)
• Strong understanding of phonics (e.g., Read Write Inc. or Letters and Sounds)
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Flexibility, reliability, and a sense of humour!
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
