Design & Technology (DT) Supply Teacher – Maidstone

Are you a hands-on educator with a passion for design, innovation, and practical learning? We’re seeking a versatile and enthusiastic DT Supply Teacher to join our secondary school network. Whether it’s woodwork, electronics, textiles, or CAD, you’ll step into the workshop and keep students engaged, safe, and inspired. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, support creative thinking, and help students turn ideas into reality, all while enjoying the flexibility of supply teaching.

Contract: Temporary
Salary: £130 - £150 per day (Dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and curriculum-aligned DT lessons across a range of specialisms.
• Maintain a safe and productive workshop environment, following health and safety protocols.
• Adapt quickly to different school settings and student needs.
• Encourage problem-solving, design thinking, and hands-on learning.
• Support students with practical tasks, assessments, and project work.
• Uphold school policies and safeguarding standards.

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Degree or training in Design & Technology or a related field.
• Experience teaching DT in UK secondary schools (preferred).
• Strong classroom and workshop management skills.
• Confidence using tools, machinery, and digital design software.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
