Humanities Supply Teacher Needed – Maidstone

A welcoming secondary school in Maidstone is seeking a Humanities Supply Teacher who can inspire curiosity and spark debate across KS3 and KS4.

Contract: Temporary

Salary: £130 - £150 per day (Dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons in History, Geography, RE, or other Humanities subjects
• Adapt quickly to different classroom settings and student needs
• Foster a respectful and inquisitive learning environment
• Follow existing lesson plans or bring your own fresh ideas
• Encourage critical thinking and discussion
• Collaborate with staff to ensure continuity and student progress

Qualifications & Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Strong subject knowledge in one or more Humanities disciplines
• Previous teaching experience preferred, but open to ECTs
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
