A welcoming and inclusive mainstream secondary school in Clitheroe, Lancashire is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of General Science to join their successful Science department from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher to contribute to a supportive and forward-thinking school environment, delivering high-quality science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

The Role

  • Deliver engaging and well-structured General Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Support students of all abilities to achieve their full potential
  • Contribute to the wider Science department and school community
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold QTS (or equivalent recognised teaching qualification)
  • Have experience teaching Science at secondary level (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics specialism welcome)
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Be committed to raising attainment and supporting student progress
  • Be adaptable, motivated, and able to work effectively as part of a team

This position is initially offered on a temporary basis until December 2026, with the potential for extension depending on school needs.
