We are seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join the school from September 2026.
This role is suitable for both ECTs looking for a nurturing start to their career and experienced Science teachers seeking a position within a collaborative and supportive department.
You will deliver high‑quality Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, contributing to a department that values teamwork, strong subject knowledge, and a passion for inspiring young people to explore the world through scientific thinking.
Key Responsibilities
Teach engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, ensuring lessons are accessible, challenging, and inspiring.
Plan and deliver curriculum‑aligned schemes of work that promote scientific enquiry and deep understanding.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports behaviour expectations and student wellbeing.
Contribute to departmental development, sharing ideas and supporting colleagues.
Support extracurricular STEM opportunities that enrich the wider school experience.
Uphold the school’s ethos of ambition, respect, and community.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Degree in Science or a related discipline (Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 (ECTs with placement experience welcome).
Strong subject knowledge and understanding of curriculum expectations.
Excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills.
A commitment to developing confident, curious, and motivated young people.
