We are recruiting an enthusiastic and committed Physical Education Teacher to work across secondary schools in Bath on a supply basis. This role is ideal for PE teachers seeking flexible work, whether you are looking for short‑term cover, ongoing supply, or a route into a long‑term teaching role.

Supply placements will typically begin with short‑term assignments, giving you the opportunity to work in a variety of Bath schools while we actively support you in securing long‑term or more consistent roles that align with your preferences and career goals. If you are looking for solely short‑term or ad‑hoc supply work, we are happy to work fully around your diary.


As a Secondary PE Teacher in Bath, you will deliver engaging and well‑structured Physical Education lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will play a key role in promoting physical activity, teamwork, resilience, and wellbeing while maintaining high expectations for behaviour and participation.

A genuine passion for education and for Physical Education is essential, as you will be responsible for motivating students, encouraging healthy lifestyles, and creating positive learning experiences in both practical and classroom‑based PE lessons.


  • Teach Physical Education across KS3 and KS4 in Bath secondary schools
  • Deliver pre‑planned and prepared PE lessons in line with school expectations
  • Promote student engagement, teamwork, and positive attitudes to physical activity
  • Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment
  • Adapt confidently to different school facilities, timetables, and pupil groups

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards QTS (ECTs welcome)
  • Experience teaching PE at secondary level (KS3/KS4)
  • Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Physical Education
  • A passion for education and inspiring young people through sport and activity
  • Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Professional, reliable, and adaptable approach to supply teaching
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
