Teacher of Mathematics Required

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Mathematics to join a welcoming and successful mainstream secondary school in Clitheroe, Lancashire, on a fixed-term basis from September 2026 until December 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate mathematics specialist to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons and supporting pupils to achieve their full potential. Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and ECTs with a strong subject knowledge and a commitment to high standards of teaching and learning.

The Role

  • Teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge learners.
  • Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and support departmental initiatives where appropriate.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching Mathematics within a secondary school setting.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • A passion for mathematics and raising student achievement.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
