Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Kitchen Assistant to join a secondary school in Dorchester. This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable and hardworking individual looking to work within a busy school environment and become part of a supportive catering team.
The successful candidate will help with the day-to-day running of the school kitchen, supporting the preparation and serving of meals to students and staff while maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness and food hygiene.
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be responsible for:
Assisting with food preparation and serving meals
Supporting the kitchen team during busy lunch periods
Washing up and cleaning kitchen equipment and work areas
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
Helping with stock rotation and putting deliveries away
Following food hygiene, health and safety procedures
Providing a friendly and professional service to students and staff
Supporting the wider catering team with general kitchen duties
The school is looking for someone who is:

Organised and willing to take on a variety of tasks
Committed to maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
Previous kitchen, catering or school experience is desirable but not essential
