About the Role
Are you a passionate and dedicated EYFS Teacher looking for your next opportunity? We are seeking an enthusiastic EYFS Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school, where you'll create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment that supports young children as they develop their confidence, independence, and love of learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and age-appropriate lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages children to explore, communicate, and learn through play.
- Support children's development across the seven areas of learning, including communication and language, physical development, and literacy.
- Develop children's early reading, phonics, writing, numeracy, and social skills through engaging activities and purposeful learning experiences.
- Observe, assess, and record children's progress, using observations and assessment information to inform planning and provide targeted support.
- Promote positive behaviour, independence, confidence, and emotional wellbeing within the classroom.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to support children's development and wellbeing.
- Contribute to EYFS planning, assessments, observations, and wider school activities where required.
- Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework and early childhood development.
- Experience working with children within an Early Years or Reception setting.
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills.
- A passion for creating engaging and play-based learning experiences.
- A commitment to supporting children's individual development and helping them achieve their potential.
- An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- A current enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
