Role Overview:
As an English Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the teaching and learning of English across the school. Your responsibilities will include:
Classroom Support: Assisting English teachers in delivering engaging and interactive lessons, providing one-to-one support to students who may require additional help, and ensuring that all pupils are able to access the curriculum effectively.
Literacy Development: Supporting students in improving their reading, writing, and communication skills, providing targeted intervention and reinforcement of key literacy concepts and strategies.
Resource Creation: Collaborating with teachers to create and prepare teaching resources, including worksheets, activities, and reading materials, to enhance the learning experience and cater to the diverse needs of students.
Assessment and Feedback: Assisting teachers in assessing student progress and achievement, marking and providing feedback on written assignments and coursework, and tracking student performance over time.
Literacy Intervention: Leading small group intervention sessions to support students who are struggling with literacy skills, implementing tailored intervention programs and monitoring student progress closely.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
