Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join a secondary school in Stevenage for a September 2026 start. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher to become part of a supportive and well-resourced science department committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning.

The successful candidate will teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a focus on Physics, and will play an active role in supporting students to achieve strong academic outcomes while developing curiosity and confidence in the subject.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Teach chemistry, biology or physics as a specialism and contribute to the wider Science curriculum
• Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Contribute to the wider life of the school and the development of the Science department

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• A degree in chemistry, Biology, Physics or a related scientific discipline
• Experience teaching Science at secondary level
• Strong subject knowledge in chemistry, biology or physics
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• A commitment to raising achievement and supporting student progress
